Each of our software products requires a License Key to convert it from a Demo to an unlimited use commercial application.
If you purchased a CDROM, you will find the License Key is inside the CDROM case. If you bought the "Electronic Version" the key was provided to you via EMail or traditional mail.
The License Key will give you unlimited use of the current version of the product. It will be requested by the product each time you use the application until you enter the key for the first time. Once you enter the key, you won't be asked to enter it again.
In certain cases the License Key will work with other versions of the product as well. Refer to the file "Read about <the product>" for more details about how our version numbering system works.
The key is a collection of case-sensitive letters separated by dashes. There are NO NUMBERS in the License Key. The letters are in 5 groups of 4 letters each with the dashes in between. Here is an example:
aaaa-BBBB-ccCC-DDdd-eEeE
You MUST enter the letters and the dashes EXACTLY as they are. Case is important as well as the dashes. Don't pad the key with extra characters such as blanks.
If you don't have a key, you can still use each of our products for a limited number of times before the demo version of the product expires.
NOTE to people who licensed Black & Bleu™ v1.0: We used Aladdin Systems as our order desk for the v1.0 release of Black & Bleu™. The license key used for that release doesn't conform to the "no numbers" rule. Also, Aladdin Systems has disbanded their order desk. All of our orders are now handled by Kagi.
